Seasons is a slice-of-life universe I have together with my friends! There's not a complex story, but we've focused on the characters' growth and the relationships between them.In this universe, seasons have physical manifestations and live amongst humans, usually taking on jobs related to their specific season and taking control of the weather and its changes when their season's time comes to town. They also have related abilities and "assistants" who were once mortal beings, and whose souls have been brought back by their seasons' choosing to help with their duties all year round.Seasons and assistants are scattered per region, with 4 of them (Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring) in every city/region where notable changes in temperatures exist. Usually, the seasons' personalities are influenced by their region and vice versa.

── .✦ Célestine is not currently active as an actress/singer despite her wishes to return to theatre. It's her own thoughts of how people will react to her redebut what make her abstain from stepping onstage. In the meantime, she's just relying on her past glory, and the belief that she can't be forgotten because of how famous she was when she was a child.── .✦ Singing is a natural-born talent for Célestine, however, after three years of not practising it, her voice got a little rusty, that's why nobody has heard her sing as of lately. The only time she did she made a fool out of herself in public, and realized that she couldn't just rely on 'talent' anymore, as she blindly believed.── .✦ She is hyperaware of people's opinions of her, so she checks the local newspapers on a daily basis to see if there's any new notes about her. She also has a costume that she uses to go out to the streets of the city and try to catch conversations that might mention her.── .✦ Ever since she was little, people began calling Célestine "princess", usually in a derogatory way. For this reason, she does NOT like said nickname, takes offense if someone uses it to refer to her, and argues she's 'not a princess, but a diva', which in her eyes are two very different concepts.── .✦ Célestine had a boyfriend when she was 14 years old, his name was Guillaume and he was her co-star in (Genshin's adaptation of) Romeo & Juliet. It was a teenage romance, where both of them unfortunately fell for the characters they played and not the actual person behind them.── .✦ She's an accidental Fatui magnet, as most of her closest friends/relationships are with characters that she didn't know were part of the organization. She's kinda sick of finding out about it, but she doesn't have any strong feelings towards the work of the Fatui, so she brushes it off quickly.

✦ Notes & Inspiration

── .✦ The idea of Célestine came to me after I watched Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and Lucy Gray Baird became her primary inspiration! Celes ended up being quite different from Lucy personality and story-wise, but she hails part of her essence in her stubborn soul and use of songs as a 'way to say something'.── .✦ She is also inspired by Barbara Pravi's song "Voilà" (and it's the very song Celes would sing at the end of her hypothetical story quest)── .✦ Other songs from her playlist that I heavily relate to Célestine and/or reflect her and her story especifically are: "Bleeed" by Oh Land, "My Body Is Not Mine" by AURORA, "Karma" by MARINA, "YES MOM" by Tessa Violet, "growing up is getting old" by VICTORIA, and "With One Look" from the musical Sunset Boulevard.── .✦ Célestine's writing includes a lot of crude and sometimes gory imagery, along with the occasional use of curse words. She makes metaphors of how emotions physically feel in her body, like shards of glass cutting through her skin or bleeding out through open wounds. She's also extremely honest in her words, as she pours her unrestrained thoughts into lyrics. "Mr/Mme" by Loïc Nottet and "VOID" by Melanie Martinez are both good examples of this.

── .✦ Timka isn't their birth name, but the one they go by now.── .✦ Timka is actually very friendly and wants to meet a lot of people, given that they weren't allowed to have any close friendships back in Sneznaya due to their parents' fear of being exposed for their crimes by someone external.── .✦ Because of this, Timka is usually careful when meeting someone new, however, they tend to trust people too quickly and begin oversharing, regretting it later, thinking that they might've given away too much information about themself that could be used to be tracked down by their sister/the Fatui and/or blow their parents' cover.── .✦ They developed a very heavy persecution delusion, as they learned to be wary of any Fatui agents inside and outside Snezhnaya, including their sister.── .✦ Their parents neglected the bakery as it was just a cover, and made mediocre bread and pastries that nobody would buy. However, Timka fell in love with baking while learning the craft, as it offered them an escape from their abusive home life. Soon, their passion turned the shop into an actual bakery which sold good product.── .✦ As a consequence, Timka got scolded for bringing unnecessary attention to the bakery, and soon was banned from working there, relegating them to be the one in charge of "deliveries" (a.k.a. doing their parents' dirty work)── .✦ Ivana no longer lives with the family, but whenever she visits she gets her parents' undivided attention and praise, being considered "the pride of the family"─ both, things that she made sure to rub on Timka's face.── .✦Timka already had the idea of fleeing Snezhnaya for a while, but never dared to do so since they didn't feel capable of it, they also didn't have a plan on where to go and what to do. When they finally did, it was on impulse.── .✦ They lost two fingers due to frostbite after the ambush.── .✦ They are a natural blonde, however, upon reaching Mondstadt, they dyed their hair red...or at least the parts that they could cover with a single bottle of dye.── .✦ While working at The Good Hunter, Timka is allowed to use their oven and sell their bread there.── .✦ They are especially fond of Noelle and Mona, though they know a lot of other Mondstadt citizens from the times when they visit the restaurant and Timka is their waiter.

── .✦ Timka was my first ever Genshin Impact OC!── .✦ Timka's most representative song from their playlist is "изумруд" (Emerald) by Manizha── .✦ Other two songs that heavily relate to Timka's story are "Redecorate" by twenty one pilots and "Churchyard" by AURORA── .✦ Timka's parents are based on Madame and Monsieur Thénardier from Les Miserables.── .✦ Ivana being a Cicin Mage comes from how much I hated fighting them on early game (I was cooked)── .✦ I like to think of Timka's development as this sort of "teenage" experience in their early twenties, that is to say, the feelings of trying to find themself, to fit in, to find people, and the awkwardness that comes with it in a new setting where they're trying to start anew.── .✦ Since there wasn't much information about Snezhnaya at the time of Timka's creation, I just kept their time there pretty basic, but now I'm excited to see what Nod Krai brings that I could use for Timka's story!

── .✦ His adeptus beast form is a one-horned qilin.── .✦ He works closely with the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Hu Tao is very fond of him, as she's one of the few people who can actually withstand his heavy and gloomy aura.── .✦ He's often seen around populated places, as he is trying to befriend the locals, but they're often scared of him because of his ghostly figure and the gloomy energy he carries around, being a vessel of death itself.── .✦ Not many know his name, and is often referred as "Soul Walker"── .✦ Parents use An An's figure as a legend to get their children to sleep early, saying that "if they don't sleep, the Soul Walker is coming to get them"── .✦ Their adeptus full title is "The Perfected Lord who Borrows Illusions for Young Souls" - (妙灵借幻真君 Miào líng jiè huàn zhēn jūn, literal translation: "Wonderful Spirit Borrowing Illusion") Big thanks to Gwyn (@peaclespages) for the help with this one!── .✦ An An didn't have a "human" name until one of the children they were guiding to the afterlife asked for his final wish to be "having a friend". The child then stuck to the adeptus for a while, ultimately giving them the name "An An", meaning "peace, tranquility": the boy's feelings when walking alongside the adeptus.

── .✦ Ever since I started getting into DND (by watching campaigns) and upon seeing all the varieties in character races, I got the itch to create an oc that was some sort of demon/beast, because I had never had one of those and the idea was very exciting to me!── .✦ I was inspired to create An An after watching Dimension 20's campaign of "A Crown of Candy". He's not based on any of the characters per se, but on my own feelings towards certain character's destiny and how I'd loved to do something to spare them from how bittersweet it was 😭

── .✦ Her maternal grandfather named her after a type of tree.── .✦ She has a very easygoing personality, is enthusiastic, curious, and enjoys talking to people. She's often the kind of friend who tells you what you need to hear in an assertive way.── .✦ Her parents own a jewelry workshop, and believe that Sissoo should take up the family business instead of being a carpenter, as jewelry making is a practice more "fit" for a lady like her. They don't disapprove of carpentry, but only hope that it remains a hobby of hers.── .✦ Likewise, her parents are worried for her interest in knowing more about her past. They are clearly hiding something, and seems like they're ashamed of whatever that is.── .✦ They moved from the desert to the rainforest in order for Sissoo to attend the Akademiya (also for her to be far from the answers she seeks)── .✦ Sissoo believes she's constantly disappointing her parents as she's not living up to their expectations for what her life should "look like", but her desire for answers about her ancestry is always bigger.── .✦ Her parents have a very passive way of treating her. They've never forced her nor prohibited her to do something, but it's the comments they make about her performance in life what give Sissoo the feeling that she has to do "more" to keep them happy and repay them for their care.── .✦ She is slightly worried about being in her late twenties and still living with her parents. (No shame at all! But she feels as if their protectiveness indirectly stops her from seeking her own path in life.)── .✦ She's good friends with Kaveh and is always scolding him
for underpricing his work.── .✦ She has a muscular body type (THAT lumberjack lady from YouTube)

── .✦ Sissoo originated from my need for a character with Kaveh's teapot passive, but for interior furnishings.── .✦ She bears the same type of relationship I have with my own ancestry: a lot of unanswered questions!── .✦ I thought of Sissoo's family "curse" to have somewhat of the same origin as Mei Mei's from Turning Red: a blessing that with the passage of time turned into a curse for the bearer.── .✦ She's still very much a WIP, but I know that I'd like to link her family history to something that has to do with King Deshret. I am pretty clueless about this chunk of Genshin lore, and I've yet to do my research. If anyone whose reading this is well-versed on the topic, I would appreciate the feedback! #HELP

── .✦ Hats'i's name comes from the Hñähñu (Otomí) language, meaning "good morning" or "sunrise". While his brother's name 'Nxui' means "dusk".── .✦ She aims to become a cultural bridge between Natlan and the rest of Teyvat.── .✦ Hats'i is not profficient in any kind of art display, but is a very avid enjoyer of performing arts of all sorts, it's his favorite thing to yap about.── .✦His little brother is a 'Volador de Papantla' (still trying to come up with the Genshin name for this), and Hats'i is often promoting his act as well, but Nxui isn't too keen on performing outside his region.── .✦ Even though Hats'i travels a lot, he will always come back home. He absolutely adores his family, and has a very close bond with them, so he can't be away that long before starting to miss them dearly.── .✦ Hats'i grew up with his grandmother, who was an enthusiastic traveler who often took Hats'i along while his parents were working. In those travels, he became interested in other region's performing arts.── .✦ When Nxui was born, Hats'i was taken back to live with his parents, but she couldn't settle well with their sedentary lifestyle, so he returned to live with his granny. Despite this, he is very close with all of his family members.── .✦ Her grandma owned a kamera that she used to document their travels. She video taped some performances, which landed her a temporal job as a videographer for one of the Opera Epiclese's plays where Célestine performed. Hats'i was his grandma's assistant.── .✦ Ever since he watched her act and sing, Hats'i became a big fan of Célestine Paradis, and is well-versed in the Fontainian plays and operas where she performed. People who listen to his radio programme know how much he admires the diva, and is often talking about how he's waiting for her return to theatre and the roles he'd love to see her in.

BRACE YOURSELVES, THIS IS GONNA BE A YAP FESTHats'i's origin is quite funny, because there was a big succession of seemingly unrelated events that led to his creation. The short answer is simply, Célestine.And here's the long answer: When a friend took me to explore Natlan, she asked what would Celes think of the region, to which I responded with the diva's earnest opinions. Soon enough I found myself designing a Natlan skin for Celes, as a visitor (just like Ayaka's Fontaine skin) even though Célestine didn't have any business to attend at Natlan.Still, I wanted to give the skin a reason, because I grew very fond of it as it took inspiration in one of Mexico's traditional dresses and it made me super happy to have my dear oc dressed in something allusive to my country. So I started to try and find a connection.I sat on the idea for a while, trying not to force the inspiration. Suddenly, one day, mexican tiktoker and podcaster Iv Moony appeared on my fyp talking all things musical theatre and entertainment. In this particular tiktok he talked about Sadie Sink (a child actor), her new musical movie O'dessa, and how excited he was about seeing her transition into more mature roles, both in film and theatre.Do you see where I'm going with this?── .✦ It should be noted that I already wanted to make a Natlan OC for the longest! One that showcased something that I loved from my country, but the ideas I had seemed a little too specific or out of reach for me (as in, I wasn't super well-versed in the concepts and even though they were good representations of my culture, I didn't have a strong connection to the subjects of interest.) So I also waited out for inspiration to strike naturally, since I enjoy making ocs out of things that excite me.Iv Moony gave me a concept: a radio show host who talked about the performing arts, who knew Célestine's work and was a big fan waiting for her return to the stage.But I didn't want my Natlan oc to only focus on the culture from other regions, as it'd be contradictory. After all, my goal was to represent my own culture through him.I went back to revisit some concepts, when it hit me. Why not use my own desire to showcase what I loved about my country's culture as Hats'i's own motivation?That's when the concept came full circle, a traveling cultural promoter, who, in the wake of promoting his own culture, also fell in love with the performing arts of other regions. That's how he got to know Célestine's work, and that's why she'd visit Natlan in the future, as Hats'i's guest.However, Hats'i's theme wouldn't revolve solely around the diva anymore, and it just became a fun little interaction between my Genshin OCs, where Hats'i would both, admire the diva, and show her around his nation that he loves so much.── .✦ Design and name wise, I decided to base Hats'i and his family on the ethnic group that belongs to my region and that I'm most familiar with: the Hñähñu, also known as the Otomí culture.── .✦ Another thing I love about this culture is their embroidery technique, called Tenango (you can see it on this page's banner), so I wanted Hats'i to be dressed with motifs reminiscent of it.── .✦ Additionaly, I thought of Hats'i having a younger sibling who was actually a performer that he went around and promoted, too! For him I chose the tradition of the Voladores de Papantla, an act I've seen countless times and never ceases to amaze me.── .✦ Hats'i's grandmother also slowly began to mirror my own abuelita, and all the things I loved her for 🤍── .✦ Finally, and funnily enough, I based Hats'i's relationship with her brother on the dynamics of two of the members from my favorite k-pop group, SF9's Dawon and Chani.── .✦ In the end, you could say Hats'i is a perfect blend of everything I love in general, which makes him even more special to me!

Sky

Nowadays, Sky is Sol's little brother figure, whom she loves to tease. However, their relationship wasn't always like that, in fact, it was all the contrary.When Sol selected Sky as her assistant, she expected to have someone like her. Loud and proud, strong and hot, passionate, someone worthy of appearing in Baywatch. However, she was met with someone who was…quite the opposite. Sky was a quiet kid, serious, and worst of all: afraid of deep waters. This wasn't the kind of assistant Sol wanted, but he was already bound to her, and even when she tried to beg Sun and Moon (her bosses) to let her change assistants, they denied it, which made her hate the redhead a little bit more.To her, Sky represented a burden, and was often subject of her mistreatments, as she overworked him, bullied him, triggered his traumas with water and ultimately “fired” him, telling him that she didn't want to see him around her pool and her home ever again.What she didn't know, though, was that Sky had become the pillar to her messy lifestyle. His disposition for organization and quiet hard work at the pool had spared Sol from the duties she hated to do, as well as taking care of her own house chores. Sky, truly, was the fairy that granted Sol some stability in her life. The only person who never complained about her, and was sworn to do whatever she asked of him.With Sky gone, Sol quickly sank into realization, but her ego didn't let her admit she needed the redhead back. It was until she couldn't bear the weight of her own actions, when she broke down and seeked Sky again, apologizing to him for giving him a hard time and promising to become a better boss, friend, and older sister.

Haru

Sol’s best friend forever. Haru is the Spring of their region and owns a flower shop which Sol loves to invade from time to time, bringing a bag of popsicles, always ready to gossip.Sol and Haru were THE clubbing duo, the ones that dated around, the “hoes of the town” in Sol's own words.Sol is happy to have found a kindred spirit in Haru, even though his romanticism sometimes gave her the ick. Still, she believes her bestie is a very sweet guy, who used to give a lot and only get heartbreak in return. Sol was always there, comforting him with ice cream and then inviting him to go out to party to forget about the men that hurt him.It always worked, and Sol thought that it'd be the two of them hoe-ing around 'till the end of times… But then, Haru actually found true love with their region's Autumn, Aki.Sol felt the immediate betrayal, and teased Haru to no end with the hopes of ruining her bestie's impression of Aki. Haru eventually became fed up with Sol's constant nagging, told her off, and they grew apart.At the same time, Sol was having her own issues with Sky, of which Haru was aware of. Sol's mistreatment towards her own assistant didn't sit well with Haru, and further stained their once perfect relationship.Haru never stopped caring about his “Sunny”, though, and when she started to seek her friends out to apologize, he was the first one she went to.Nowadays, their friendship is restored, and even if Haru is a married man, and they can't go hoe-ing around anymore, their interaction is the same as ever. Haru appreciates Sol growing to become someone more empathetic, and also wishes her to find true love someday, just as he did, since he's aware of how she yearns for something like he and Aki have.

Sol didn't like Aki AT ALL. In her eyes, he was a boring old guy and she could NOT understand why her bestie would be head over heels for someone like him.Aki didn't like Sol either, to him, she was Haru's annoying best friend, boisterous and completely reckless. He judged her lack of responsibility in her duties as a Season, and didn't enjoy her trying to chime into his relationship with Haru.In a way, both tolerated each other because of the love they had for Haru. But Sol's persistent ill-talking about Aki ultimately made him lose any sort of sympathy for her.Aki also condemned Sol's mistreatment of Sky, he knew the boy and had actually housed him for a while, as well as let him help in his café for the time being. Though Sky didn't directly bad-mouth Sol, he could tell that he had been deeply hurt by her, and it just made Aki angrier.After Sol's character development arc, Aki started to respect her a little bit more. She also apologized for being awful to him, and so they began to patch up their relationship.Sol still calls Aki an “old guy”, though.

Winter

Sol’s ex-girlfriend.It's not uncommon for Summers and Winters to not get along, since they're two of the Seasons with strongest personalities which are complete opposites to the other, still, they manage to coexist by not getting into each others' business.Sol and Winter didn't, and despised each other from the first moment they met.With the passing of time, their hate became nothing more than sexual tension, and they started a situationship to satisfy their needs, of course, behind everyone's backs.Slowly, Sol thought she had started to fall in love, but Winter’s coldness and lack of interest only proved to her that what they had was nothing near romantic. Sol felt deeply hurt, as she had bared part of herself to Winter, and she had brushed it off like it was nothing.Eventually, they split up, and Winter moved away from the city, leaving her spot as that region's season open to a new one to come.
